ABOUT THE PALACE....

     Jim and Peggy Thompson have been married for over thirty year.  They have two daughters.  Kristin and her darling 3 year old son named Trey, and Julie who was married on November 1st of 2003 to Scott Hamilton.  They have been horse lovers all their lives.  Starting by showing American Saddlebreds for a number of years.  They have now been raising and showing miniature horses for five years.  They have had the most amazing winning years with these horses. 

       Our love for the minis came one summer when our daughter Julie was looking for fireworks and came across a mini farm owned by Becky Birdwell-Harrington. 

Julie came home and made us go and see them.  We could not just buy one... so we bought two mares in foal. Due any minute.  Not knowing anything we had lots and lots of fencing put up, and right as we were ready for the girls to come and live with us... Majesty came.   He was gorgeous.. needless to say WE WERE HOOKED!  We got in touch we John and Linda Lambert to be our trainers... wa la.. we had our first National Reserve Champion!! 

     In 2003 we sent Los Arboles Whiskey and Roses (Rosie), to John & Melinda Eberth's in Kentucky to Alvadars Double Destiny's! They had a filly May 23, 2004! This amazing combination produced Palace Destiny's Rose Mist.  She is awesome with a HUGE eye, GREAT neck and TONS of spunk!  Rose Mist is currently getting ready for her show life.  She was a  HUGE winner, TWO TIME Res. World Champion in 2005..

      We have 19 horses at the Palace.   We love to show our horses!  We have had over 50 World Titles including... World Grand Champion, World Champions, World Reseve Champions and Top Ten Titles, within the last five years!  Our show horses consistently are honored as high point horses too!!!!!!

   Jim is the President of the local club, Southwest Miniature Horse Club.  Which by default makes Peggy the First Lady, they love to be active in the horse shows.  The SWMHC has made amazing strides in the last year! Peggy & Jim are both Lifetime Members of the American Miniature Horse Association and they are members of AMHR.

Palace Miniature Horse Farm is located in Mansfield Texas.  Conviently located between  Dallas and Fort Worth Texas, a quick twenty minutes from DFW airport, and the 2006 World Championships in Fort Worth, Texas.
